Join us for our Thanksgiving Service

Christian Scientists have a special place in their hearts for gratitude. We show this in many ways, including holding a church service on Thanksgiving morning specifically to give thanks to God for our many blessings. You are invited to join us on Zoom this Thanksgiving morning, Thurs. Nov. 26 at 10 am, to hear short readings from our pastors, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. We also devote time in the service to anyone who would like to give thanks and share their gratitude with the congregation.

To receive a link to our service, just fill out the registration form. You will be emailed a link to the Thanksgiving service. If you have any questions, please email us at or call the church at 775-829-8117.

“HEAL THE SICK…” These words of Christ Jesus encircling the Cross and Crown seal on this book are a sweet promise that we all possess the ability to heal ourselves, our families, our world.

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures explains the spiritual teachings of the Bible, revealing the divine Science that, when understood, brings healing to all aspects of our lives and the world.

For over 135 years, readers have testified that this book has given them a spiritual sense of the Bible and their permanent relationship to God, which resulted in physical healing and spiritual uplift. The last one hundred pages of this book are letters from just a few of those readers. One such letter notes that in reading this book, “I have found a God whom I can love and worship with my whole heart, and I now read my Bible with interest and understanding. I was healed of very bad rheumatism simply by reading Science and Health.”

Listen to Science and Health online or read it online on or call our church and we would be happy to mail you a complimentary copy.

Come to a Wednesday evening meeting about Christian healing

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Reno

All are welcome to our church home on Peckham Lane in Reno, Nevada.

Would you like to hear an example of a healing in Christian Science?
Every Wednesday evening at 7:30 we hold meetings where members and visitors can share their prayer-based healing experiences.

The meetings start with a 20-minute reading from The Holy Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. We sing hymns and then the congregation has time to share insights and healings they’ve had through the application of Christian Science.

Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. They last one hour and we provide childcare in our nursery.

Welcome to the Christian Science church in Reno

IMG_1204We hope you’ll visit one of our services — held every Sunday at 10 am and every Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm — to join us in worshipping God and loving all humanity. We welcome your children in our Sunday School and invite you to visit our Reading Room. All are welcome to our church.

The purpose of the Christian Science church is to practice and support Christian healing, spiritual discovery and unselfed love. Christian Science, discovered by Mary Baker Eddy, refers to the universal, practical system of spiritual, prayer-based healing available and accessible to everyone. It is based on Christ Jesus’s teachings and starts with the premise that God is Love.

Our services last for an hour and all are welcome. We hold Sunday School for children up to the age of 20 at the same time as our Sunday service (10 am), and child care is available at all our services.

We are located at the corner of West Peckham and Warren Way. We look forward to your visit! (Our address is 795 West Peckham Lane, Reno, NV 89509.)
